Post and Courier Covers Parks and Recreation Commission’s Plans for Ashem

Tom O’Rourke, with the County Parks and Recreation Commission, spoke to the Post and Courier about its plans for Mrs. Emily Ravenel Farrow’s Ashem Property and four other properties PRC owns.  O’Rourke referred to the Lowcountry Open Land Trust sale of  the property to PRC saying, it was “a deal that had Farrow’s blessing.” The story also references the adjacent Charles Towne Landing site and O’Rourke says, the  “acquisition of the Ashem property provides the opportunity for the state and county to turn the expanded park into something spectactular.”  We are sure those of you who attended the picnic could not agree more!
