Last night, we celebrated our thirty-year legacy of conservation in the Lowcountry at our Annual Meeting. The Land Trust was founded in 1985 as a grassroots organization that began protecting land on an individual basis and, since our founding, we have continued to do this type of work while to expand our methods of land protection in order to shape the future of conservation in the Lowcountry.
Our historical work has provided a foundation on which to build a thriving, resilient and dynamic region for our future and the Land Trust is excited to share this with its membership and the community at large. At the meeting, we premiered a 20-minute film, The Legacy of the Land Trust, to show our members how the Land Trust began and how we have become the organization we are today. Enjoy!
